I've been avoiding this blog because all I have been doing was knitting, or feeling sick.
But, I'm happy to announce that my knitting has passed the painful part and has been fun again.
I finished Chandler's blanket (although I'm not going to family xmas to give it to him -- mom and dad will be in MI at my Godmother Susie's funeral :( ) Mom bought some HIDEOUS background fabric, but I think I made a big enough deal that she returned it to get something decent. I didn't spend... approximately 36 hours knitting a blanket for her to put some crappy background fabric on it. no way, no how. i took a picture of the final knitted part while it was blocking, but i'll update that tomorrow!
Oma's table runner still needs to be blocked. i'm nervous. I suck at blocking.
I started my secret santa scarf :) it's a pretty quick knit even though i didn't think it would be.
I also started brian's hat. I'm not a huge fan of the yarn... it's knitting up kinda scratchy, so i'm not sure what to do. I think i'm going to keep going and block it and see if that helps. :-/
I have kitty presents to knit too. soon. because xmas is coming up in 10 days. hip. hip. hooray!
I put the icords on dad's hat. it's ready to be wrapped! yay for being done with another project!!

Let's get EXCITED! YEAH!
I finished grandma's table runner! hooray! hooray! hooray!
I just need amber to help me block it out, because, i suck at that.
Dad's hat is 97% finished too, which was my goal for this weekend. i just need to stitch the black part of the ear flap to the black part of the hat, and then sew the earflap together. super duper hooray! :)
I was going to finish it tonight but i just couldn't do any more. tomorrow though. then it's on to chandlers. 24/7 til i finish it. yuck.
gotta get to bed though, i have to work tomorrow. wierd! i'm going to be EXHAUSTED. :(

picture updates!
here's some pictures of what i've got!
dad's double knit hat. like the dummy that i am, i forgot to turn it the other way and take a picture. dummy!

Here's Chandler's baby blanket, thus far at least. i've added some since then but not enough! mom gave me a deadline of 12/10 to finish my part.
I BETTER GET GOING!

update update update!
i'm ALMOST done with daddy's hat! i just started the ribbing. he had mentioned he wanted ear flaps, and i still haven't decided what i'm going to do to about that. i may make seperate ones and then kitchener stitch them together. or he might just not get ear flaps :)
my aunt emailed me and told me instead of all of us getting presetns for everyone (there's only 8 of us) we're going to adopt a family and then pick names. so she rigged it and i got grandma (thank goodness) since i've been doing her table runner forEVER now.
i need some opinions (amber :) ) how much longer it should be. i think i've decided it shouldn't be one that hangs over the edges because either the table is not used for eating (most of the time) or there are 6 or so of us sitting there (using the head spots)... .anyways, i'm not sure how much it will block out though, so i'm not sure how much longer to go.
i was going to make my aunt a cool entrelac scarf, but now she's not my name. but i want to do the scarf anyways, so i might just work on it, and if i do it, i'll give it to my dad to give it to her (he has her) and then she can have it. or i'll just give it to someone else. ha.
that's all

Crafty Hello!
Hello--
Since I love my job, but they don't pay me nearly enough, I'm creating gifts for my loved ones this Christmas...
Here's an update:
Mom's Breast Cancer Awareness Scarf is done (albeit a little wonky)

Grandma's Table Runner is not nearly long enough, but I have to continue going with it...
(Sorry for the blurriness of the pictures)
Dad's Double Knit hat is in the works, but I don't have pictures of it yet.
Chandler's Wild Stripes Baby Blanket is about 4/9ths of the way to completion. when I finish knitting it mom is going to put some piping on it and backing. I hope he likes it. Or, more importantly right now, I hope Naomi and Jesse like it since Chandler will only be 9mos when I give it to him.
Otherwise I've finished my whole hat/scarf/mittens set for myself... looks like I only have pictures of the hat on here...
Ill do my best to get the rest of the pictures and some updates soon! :)
