shawl/shrug/bedjacket.

I'm creating a shawl/shrug/bedjacket. I found a pattern for some complicated cable thing. Instead I made it simple and nice. and I'm half way done with it. So, I'll post pictures when I'm done. I think I need to go get another skein. no, it's a hank. of Holly Hock Malabrigio. but The Yarnery has it. I called and checked today. but I still have some to go.

oh! and Stacey got me the weavey/pegboard thing for knitting, so i'm going to go get some thick yarn and try it because I don't have anything thick enough for it to look pretty.

Well! Hello there! I figured I'd finally post some FO's and some works in progress. I've been busy!
Still no progress with the scrapbook, but that's okay. there will be plenty of time for that in the upcoming months.

I'm so excited, we're starting a knitting (and crocheting too) club with some people at work. It should be really fun! (side note: I need to create a flyer for that!)

Anyways... on to the pictures!

I think they turned out pretty well, considering it was my first time making them. I thought it would be fun to make them stripped, which it was. however, the one with the orange bottom cuff/blue top cuff is better because you can see more of the pattern, but i like them both :) I try not to discriminate.
















Houndstooth Scarf (Thanks Amber!)














I'm so excited I finally figured this out! I attempted it a while back, but failed miserably. So I attempted it again, and yippee! It worked. I'm quite happy about it. I just hope it's going to be long enough. I have 2 skeins of purple, but only 1 of cream. I have a few ideas incase it doesn't work out perfectly, but i'm just not so sure i'm going to like it. We'll see how it goes.

Cotton Dishcloths (Thanks Mom!)














I thought it would be fun to knit some dish clothes because it would be fun. and it is. There are 2 variegated ones and there will be 3 solid ones (the pictures are missing the white one, which has yet to be created!) I have a lot of extra yarn left over though, so I will be making many more sets of 5 dishcloths. ** know anyone who would want dishcloths??**















Thick and Quick Cabled Scarf & Hat set.














I made the hat back in September at Amber's and my knitting date. It was so easy and fast, and it surprisingly fits my gigantic head! I've been working on the scarf ever since. Mostly because it's tedious, and really long. Right now it's blue, grey and then .... nothingness. it will be blue, grey, blue when it is finished. who knows when that will be though!




















U of M... I wanted to attempt to make a cool scarf for my grandpa. instead i make this M and was done. it's cool though!! I graphed it and created it all by myself! be proud of me!!!

I also finished a baby sweater a while back and gave it to Jodi at work for Nolan. I didn't take a picture of it before i gave it to her (sad face!) but she said she'd take a picture of Nolan in it and give it to me, so I can post it then. but it's the same pattern as Ralph's except in baby blue

i've been working pretty hard on random projects.
it's been fun. i've been working on a cable scarf and i finished the matching hat already.
i made a leafy hat (from knitty)
i finished a mini cable scarf
also a F stitch scarf.
a baby sweater
and a pile of dishcloths.

knitting is fun.


i also ordered a bagillion other pictures. probably a 1/3rd of them are cut. i just haven't been feeling it.
but soon i bet, since it's getting chilly out!

I finished and organized my newest scrapbook... it's approximately 40 pages of goodness and drunkenness and fun...

I'm bringing it to work tomorrow to show it off a bit, but mainly because Holly wants to see it because she wants to know what pictures I have so she could maybe make copies to take with her when she leaves for chicago....

it is FANTASTIC. you'll have to find me to see it... :) beautiful.

but. my aunt made this jumper for me when i was 3 ish.
that's crafty, so it counts.

i have a little under 2 hours before i need to be to stacey's so we can go look at other places to live. i am uploading 300 some pictures to a web album for friends from work. but i think before i go to stacey's i'm going to go take pictures of cool stuff outside. i just haven't decided what, or where yet. i have an idea, but i'm not sure if it's going to be as cool as i think it is, or what. it might just be an experiment.

otherwise, i've finished the scrapbook through graduation (there are a lot more pictures that should go in there, but not before i move...)
otherwise i'm still on a crafty block. so i'm packing it all up.

digital scrapbooking? exciting!

PIE is offering this really cool digital scrapbooking thing in a couple of weeks... we're having a seminar on in 2 mondays and then an all day workshop the following saturday... so, i was thinking, this weekend when i am home/at grandma's i'm going to scan a whole bunch of little kid pictures, and then i can hopefully do those in the scrapbook. i've always wanted those pictures immortalized in a scrapbook, i've just been too lazy to get a whole bunch of kid stuff for the book... and i keep taking 8 million other pictures to take up my time... so, digital it may be. but they look amazing. so i wouldn't be upset with it at all...

go me go.
i'm also bringing home my real scrapbooking stuff to oma's so i can finish that. thank god.

i've decided i'm making stacey a scarf. i bought some brownish tweedish yarn from borealis the other day.
i think i'll use my knitting calendar and find a cool stitch and make a scarf.
who knows. maybe i'll just give her the 2 skeins of yarn and say happy february!

i haven't taken any pictures yet, but my cabled, pink, beautiful hat is approximately 5 rows from completion. but wait. here comes the annoyance. i have to go buy a whole skein of yarn to finish it.

i figured out how to do the cables.
it said c6b.
that really translates into put 3 on a holder, move it behind. knit the next 3, and then knit the 3 on the holder.

so i've decided i'm going to start a hat from S'n'B nation. I stopped at the lys today and got some cashmerino chunky in a baby pink (go figure, right?)

the pattern says 8's for an adult medium. i think i'll try it on 10s for my large head. hopefully that works and i won't have to adjust the pattern. we'll see at least :)

stacey wants me to knit her something. i don't have much inspiration yet. i'll look through some books/patterns and see if i can be inspired.

quarter century... not me!

Well folks, there it is... the quarter century cake i decorated for miss nicole tonight. it was fun. it was like painting, except with frosting.

i need to start painting.

so, i wanted to work on my entrelac scarf, but i screwed up and i hate trying to fix it. so now it's on hold.

and then, i was going to start a houndstooth scarf (purple and cream. very cool combo i'd say) but i couldn't figure it out.
so it's back to the movie. and playing on the internet.
i need some free time. i want to call in sick one day and just do stuff at home, like scrapbook.
but i like work too much. or i like certain aspects of work too much.
damn. i need something else to be on my mind!

I gave Brian his hat on Friday, well I just left it in his locker for him. He didn't say anything about it all day, but then after work, he walked by with it on, gave me the HUGE brian smile and told me it was perfect.

Well, I did it! I finished Brian's hat, finally! and i took some sweet pictures of myself in it... one so ya'll could see it and 2 so i could make sure it fit my gigantic head! mission accomplished x2!

so, you can all be proud of me, for finishing something! i'm not sure what i'm going to do with the rest of my knitting abilities, but something, i'm sure... i'm still in a small scrapbooking kick, only 15 more to do for this book... but i have hundreds for the next one already!
