I did it!

I finished the shrug I worked so hard on around Christmas! :)
I finally blocked it out this weekend, so I could wear it today!

How super fun is it to wear something that you made! I mean not just a scarf or a hat (although, I do love making those too!) but something that you can really WEAR!

There was a little controversy about it today, thanks to Jay. But, situationally, he's a jerk, and I don't care about his opinion. I l-o-v-e the color and I am pretty proud of myself for making something that fits, that's cute, and looks like it is supposed to!

I haven't taken any pictures of it yet, so that will have to wait. but they'll be coming soon!

Also, in exciting news:
The knitting group is planning another adventure for the relatively near future... AND
we're also creating a scrapbooking group! HOORAY.

my two favorite hobbies, with some REALLY fun people. That's pretty dang awesome!

quite a crafty person, i am

i've been working pretty hard on random projects.
it's been fun. i've been working on a cable scarf and i finished the matching hat already.
i made a leafy hat (from knitty)
i finished a mini cable scarf
also a F stitch scarf.
a baby sweater
and a pile of dishcloths.

knitting is fun.


i also ordered a bagillion other pictures. probably a 1/3rd of them are cut. i just haven't been feeling it.
but soon i bet, since it's getting chilly out!

I finished and organized my newest scrapbook... it's approximately 40 pages of goodness and drunkenness and fun...

I'm bringing it to work tomorrow to show it off a bit, but mainly because Holly wants to see it because she wants to know what pictures I have so she could maybe make copies to take with her when she leaves for chicago....

it is FANTASTIC. you'll have to find me to see it... :) beautiful.

don't i look like the crabbiest little thing, ever? but i'm still cute. haha.

i have a little under 2 hours before i need to be to stacey's so we can go look at other places to live. i am uploading 300 some pictures to a web album for friends from work. but i think before i go to stacey's i'm going to go take pictures of cool stuff outside. i just haven't decided what, or where yet. i have an idea, but i'm not sure if it's going to be as cool as i think it is, or what. it might just be an experiment.

otherwise, i've finished the scrapbook through graduation (there are a lot more pictures that should go in there, but not before i move...)
otherwise i'm still on a crafty block. so i'm packing it all up.

digital scrapbooking? exciting!

PIE is offering this really cool digital scrapbooking thing in a couple of weeks... we're having a seminar on in 2 mondays and then an all day workshop the following saturday... so, i was thinking, this weekend when i am home/at grandma's i'm going to scan a whole bunch of little kid pictures, and then i can hopefully do those in the scrapbook. i've always wanted those pictures immortalized in a scrapbook, i've just been too lazy to get a whole bunch of kid stuff for the book... and i keep taking 8 million other pictures to take up my time... so, digital it may be. but they look amazing. so i wouldn't be upset with it at all...

go me go.
i'm also bringing home my real scrapbooking stuff to oma's so i can finish that. thank god.

frusterated.

so, i wanted to work on my entrelac scarf, but i screwed up and i hate trying to fix it. so now it's on hold.

and then, i was going to start a houndstooth scarf (purple and cream. very cool combo i'd say) but i couldn't figure it out.
so it's back to the movie. and playing on the internet.
i need some free time. i want to call in sick one day and just do stuff at home, like scrapbook.
but i like work too much. or i like certain aspects of work too much.
damn. i need something else to be on my mind!

i have a caribou buzz

Have a holly jolly christmas... it's the best time of the year!

I just thought I'd use this slight caribou buzz (i can really feel it when trying to type, my fingers want to go much faster than my brain can think! whoa doggy!) anyways, to share in the wonders of the holiday sweater christmas card pictures.
How can you really go wrong with these 2 fabulous people (Stacey and Sir Nicholas Louis Brave) and holiday sweaters? really, you can't.

but in other news. i'm venturing back into the land of scrapbooking (in approximately 5 minutes, just enough time to drag all my 'crap' to the living room and make a quick potty break)...

i have approximately 250 pictures that need to be magically scrapbooked into my album which will now hold from junior year of UWRF until Graduation (dec. 05) I will then launch into a new album: the after college year (to be determined if it will be 'year' or 'years'... all depends on how paparazzi like i become with the most fabulous new camera. )

only time will tell, people, only time will tell.
